DOGS
We offer expert dog
grooming of all breeds. We do puppy cuts, lion cuts in
addition to all breed cuts and hand stripping for broken coated
terriers.
We have provided grooming
since we opened in 1989. Our groomers use tender loving care and patience
when grooming your dog. We do not use sedation or anesthesia during grooming.
Rates depend on breed, condition of the coat and disposition. Appointments are required.
Keep in mind that if your pet is severely matted, we will cut his
hair short. Extensive dematting is painful, if not torture, on
your pet.
Home grooming is
very important in between professional grooms. When bathing
your pet, be sure that all knots are brushed or combed out.
Small knots or snags, can turn into carpet mats that tighten and
pull up the skin when wet, essentially scalping him. It is can
be very uncomfortable or painful so please be sure to comb out your
dog before he hits the tub.
Nails are
important to keep short. If too long, nails can curl and
pierce the pad, or dogs that make a habit of walking on their nails
can get arthritis. Dogs that are walked often grind their
nails down and are naturally short. Still, nails should be
routinely checked. Play with your dog's paws often to get him
used to having his feet handled. |

CATS
We started grooming cats 20 years ago. Today we have built a large, yet loyal clientele list.
Whether your kitty has gotten into something smelly, or she hasn't seen
a comb for a while, we can help. We do not use anesthesia.
Although cats themselves
are very good groomers, sometimes they need some help. Older and
overweight cats lose the ability to groom themselves. Owners of shorthaired
cats know that their cats shed just as much, if not more than the longhaired
cats. Brushing and combing regularly can also reduce those unpleasant
hairballs caused by the cat swallowing hair. Longhaired cats can get tangles
that when left alone; they can turn into tight, painful matts. These matts
are difficult to get out. If you acquire a new kitten,
be sure to start conditioning her to the grooming process early. It may
not be necessary at this time, but the kitten will get accustomed to the
daily routine and will enjoy the extra attention. |
